MeritChoice Profitloaded Summit (MPS), September Edition Report

The much talked about MeritChoice Profitloaded Summit (MPS) has come and gone and it was a very huge success. As expected, lots of people came from all across the country and the smiles and excitement on their faces on departure made a bold statement of satisfaction at what they learnt and left with. It was fun and very impactful indeed.

As anticipated, our speakers dealt extremely well with the topics they each talked on. It started off with our very own CEO/MD, MeritChoice Limited, Mr Gbeminiyi Oluwabusola’s presentation on 7 Reasons Why You Need To Start Your Own Business. He was very explicit on the need for all particpants to start thinking inwards on how they can position themselves to be the next successful entrepreneur. The core focus of his teaching was largely centered on the secrets to starting small and growing big as an entrepreneur and why giving up should never be an option on the journey towards achieving success in business.

Pastor Gbolagoke’s lecture was another eye opening and mind blowing one. He talked on How to Register Your Business Name with Corporate Affair Commission in 21 Days or Less without a Lawyer. This part of the summit was basically expository, as he shared secrets on how to choose the right names for your business that will not be turned down by the Corporate Affairs Commission, how to fill the name search form, the amount it will cost and how to get your name approved without any delay or business name rejections..

The last speaker of the day was Mr David Segbenu. He was in his usual reserved manner, explicit and detailed with his information on The Huge Opportunities In Agriculture And How To Tap Into It Without Leaving Your Current Job Or Hampering Your Present Business. One of the things he talked about was how to make maximum profit from the current planting season without holding a hoe or cutlass.

One of the high points of the summit was the networking and marketing section which was specifically crafted out for people to sell and share ideas with each other. The people that got tables to display their products were bombarded by summit participants who were interested in their products. So, as the theme of the summit is, it was really Profitloaded for some. The networking part was also very useful for some as it afforded everyone the opportunity to share business contact, ideas and links. Since we had some new faces at the summit, our MD/CEO, Mr Gbeminiyi Oluwabusola introduced them to MeritChoice Entrepreneurs Network (MENET) and shared the benefits they will derive from being a part of the network. If you are not part of it yet too, you need to check it out here:-

In all, it was really a time well spent.

I can’t end this without telling you about the lovely moments we had at our cooperative meeting. With the way we ended the summit, I am little afraid there might be need to start planning for a bigger venue for the next one. I am anticipating a lot of people will be coming with their business partners, friends, family and other loved ones that need to be part of the next October 2015 Edition. You will be updated as things unfold before then, so, ensure you are constantly checking your emails and our blog for our notifications.

Till then, stay blessed.
